iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation – Non-sleep Deep Rest (NSDR)

Integrative Restoration, iRest for short, is an evidence-based, trauma-sensitive practice that combines the ancient practice of yoga nidra with modern-day psychology and neuroscience to support full-body wellness. Studies show iRest reduces anxiety, stress and chronic pain and improves sleep and overall well being.

The practice is integrative as it heals the various unresolved issues and traumas that are present in the body and mind, and restorative as it enables you to recognize your innate peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.

Research shows iRest can be effective in reducing stress, anxiety, and chronic pain as well as improving sleep and overall well being. The benefits of iRest have proven so effective that the U.S. military uses it extensively..

This guided practice has helped special operations troops improve their resiliency, executives manage stress, cancer patients cope with pain, and trauma survivors experience safety and healing.

No special skills or experience are needed to do the practice. It can be done seated or lying down, with eyes open or eyes closed. There is not a wrong or a right way to do it. The best way to learn it is to do it.

iRest helps:
  • Cope with daily stress
  • Resolve trauma
  • Decrease depression and anxiety
  • Relieve chronic pain
  • Improve sleep
  • Awaken to your true nature

"Turi’s classes help me to gain insight, calm anxiety,'quiet' ear ringing, and feel grounded and relaxed."

"I find yoga nidra particularly effective as a way to discover inner peace. I experience a deep and satisfying sense of peacefulness and release from anxiety after the classes and it lasts."
